Inventory before you move

Export posts, pages, categories, media, and a redirect list. Match them against indexed URLs in Search Console so every old address maps cleanly — no content without a destination.

URLs and 301s

Keep slugs when you can. When paths must change, 301 every old URL to the new one. After launch, spot-check with a crawler or logs for mass 404s.

Multilingual and hreflang

If the old site was multilingual, migrate language versions and cross-links together — moving only the primary language drops foreign traffic. JCMS manages content by locale; complete reciprocal links soon after import.

Checks after go-live

Submit the new sitemap, sample URL Inspection in Search Console, and watch indexing and clicks. Re-check inquiry forms, tracking codes, and robots.
